Quick answer: What is Tuikor AI?
Tuikor AI is an AI companion app from Shenma Limited that puts a talking, lip-synced digital human on your screen instead of a text box, and lets you clone your own face and voice into a persona in about five seconds. Conversations run on OpenAI models, and the privacy policy commits that your data is not used for model training. The app is free; coin packs run from $9.99 to $159.00 and a creator membership starts at $13.90 a month. It is a young app, with 100+ Google Play downloads so far. Verdict: install it free to try the video avatars, and spend once you have found characters you like.
How does Tuikor AI work for digital human chat?
Tuikor AI pairs two technologies: an established language model for the conversation, and an in-house avatar engine for the face and voice.
- You pick or build a character. The catalog holds vendor and creator made personas. Building your own means uploading a photo and a voice sample, which the app turns into an animated avatar with a matching synthetic voice.
- Chat runs on a third-party model. The current privacy policy names the provider directly: OpenAI, with servers in Singapore, receiving your typed input, voice input converted to text, and rolling summaries of recent dialogue for context. The same document states that your data is not used to train any AI models.
- The avatar layer is in-house. Shenma’s Chinese language sibling site, tuikeai.com, credits a self-developed “Shenma” model for the face and voiceprint cloning, and advertises a five second clone with no training step, a lip-sync match it puts at 95 percent, and sub-50ms interaction latency. Those are the vendor’s own figures.
- Memory builds into an intimacy level. Characters retain your preferences and past moments, and each one shows a visible intimacy level that grows as you talk. Higher levels open up richer multimodal content, covered in the pricing section below.
- Creators take a cut. Anyone can publish a persona and earn from subscriptions, gifts and paid content unlocks, which is what the Creator Membership tiers are for.
Put together, you get OpenAI-quality conversation delivered through Shenma’s own animated avatars, with a creator economy on top for anyone who wants to build and earn.
Who is Tuikor AI best for (and not for)?
Tuikor AI is best for:
- People curious about digital twins. Five second face and voice cloning is a genuinely interesting demo, and the free tier is enough to see it.
- Bilingual English and Chinese users. The App Store lists exactly two app languages, English and Simplified Chinese, and the product’s center of gravity is clearly the Chinese market.
- Early creators. A young catalog gives a new persona room to stand out, and the creator tools already pay out on subscriptions, gifts and paid unlocks.
Tuikor AI is not for:
- Anyone who wants a large community today. Tuikor AI is early, with 100+ Play Store downloads, so the social side is still filling in.
- People who would rather not upload a real face yet. The store listing and the two live privacy policies describe facial data differently, so a stock photo is the cautious way to start. The privacy section has the details.
- Anyone under 18. Apple rates the app 18+ and Shenma’s own safety policy restricts communication features under 18, even though Google Play lists it as Teen.
- Buyers who need refunds. The terms of service say fees are non-refundable, and they do not cover coins specifically.
What are the limitations of Tuikor AI?
Tuikor AI’s limits are mostly those of a young app: the 1M+ personalities and 10M+ conversations on its homepage are self-reported, while the stores show 100+ Google Play downloads and two US App Store ratings. The $15 million Series B is also self-reported, and coin packs are priced at a near-flat rate, so a larger pack does not save money.
- Usage figures are self-reported. The homepage advertises 1M+ AI personalities and 10M+ real-time conversations. Google Play records 100+ downloads and the US App Store shows two ratings. The vendor does not publish a methodology for its figures, so the store counts are the ones to go by for now.
- The $15 million Series B is self-reported. It appears in Shenma’s own About text and in one AI directory that repeats it. I found no funding database entry, press release or trade coverage for it.
- Coins do not get cheaper in bulk. The $159.00 pack works out at 50.31 coins per dollar against 50.05 for the $9.99 pack, a difference of half a percent, so the smallest pack that covers what you want is the sensible buy.
- Two privacy policy versions are live. Google Play’s policy link points at a copy on a different domain last updated in April 2025, while tuikor.com serves a February 2026 revision. They describe facial data differently.
- Coins are not covered in the terms. The terms of service mention refunds once, to say fees are non-refundable, and do not reference coins, virtual currency or expiry.
- The safety policy is ambitious for an app this size. It lists PhotoDNA scanning, 24/7 human moderation, government-ID age verification and employee background checks. It was last revised in April 2025 and gives two different contact addresses for reporting abuse.
What are Tuikor AI’s alternatives?
| Alternative | Price | Pick it instead when |
|---|---|---|
| Character AI | Free with in-chat ads; c.ai+ $9.99/month or $94.99/year | You want the largest character catalog available and can live with a short memory |
| Friend2Chat | Free, with no pricing page in existence | Persistent memory matters more than avatars and you want zero payment surface |
| ChatBrat AI | Free tier of 39 messages a day with no account; paid “Charms” priced at checkout | You want to judge writing quality in ten minutes without registering |
All three have larger communities today. None of them renders a talking video avatar, which is where Tuikor AI stands apart.
I have not run Tuikor AI myself, because its signature feature asks for a real face upload and I keep my own biometrics out of reviews.
So this Tuikor AI review is built from what the company publishes and what the two app stores record independently: the marketing site, both live privacy policies, the terms of service, the safety policy, the full iOS version history, and the Apple and Google store listings, all checked on 2026-09-09. Where sources differ, I say so.
The homepage shows the whole pitch in one frame.

The stat row along the bottom is the vendor’s own, and the phone mockup on the right shows the intimacy level badge each character carries. The three download buttons under the headline do not link to the stores yet, so use the store links in the install section below.
The video chat layer: What separates this from a text AI companion
Real-time video is what sets Tuikor AI apart. Shenma calls Tuikor a “digital human” platform rather than a chatbot, and the homepage describes its lead feature as “face-to-face video interaction with natural expression, motion, and speech.” Here is what that means in practice.
Which direction does the camera point? This is the question most people get wrong about a visual AI companion, and Shenma’s own permission disclosure answers it. The privacy policy lists exactly four device permissions, and the camera entry reads: “used to take photos for updating your profile picture or capturing and sharing images during chats.” Nothing in that list describes capturing live video of you. The microphone entry covers voice messages and voice chat; there is no continuous camera capture described anywhere in the document.
So “face-to-face” means the avatar is rendered to you as video while you reply with text or voice. It is not a two-way call with your own face on screen. That is a privacy plus: your camera is not streaming during a chat.
How the pipeline fits together. The two halves of the product run on different stacks, and combining the disclosures gives you the flow:
- You speak or type. Voice input is converted to text on the device before anything leaves it, which the privacy policy states explicitly.
- That text, plus a rolling summary of recent dialogue, goes to OpenAI on servers in Singapore.
- The text response comes back and is handed to Shenma’s own avatar stack, which the Chinese-language sibling site credits to a self-developed model.
- That stack renders speech and a lip-synced face. Its published figures are a 95 percent lip-sync match and sub-50ms latency, neither independently verified.
The practical upside is that each layer can improve on its own: the conversation benefits from OpenAI’s model updates while Shenma tunes the face and voice.
The richest video grows with the relationship. The changelog says multimodal content opens up as the intimacy level rises, and coins can open content directly. Expect the fullest video interaction to come with time or coins rather than in the first ten minutes. Coin costs per item are not published yet.
For comparison, none of the mainstream alternatives in this category ship real-time rendered video. Character AI and ChatBrat are text with optional voice; Friend2Chat adds voice messages and image sharing. If a rendered talking face is what you want, Tuikor is doing something the better-established AI social companion apps are not. Its user base is still small, so it is early days for proving that at scale.
Tuikor AI pricing: What $9.99 in coins buys you
The app costs nothing to install. Everything after that runs on coins or a membership, and the US App Store listing publishes the full in-app purchase table.
| Purchase | Price | Coins per dollar |
|---|---|---|
| 500 coins | $9.99 | 50.05 |
| 1,000 coins | $19.90 | 50.25 |
| 3,000 coins | $59.90 | 50.08 |
| 8,000 coins | $159.00 | 50.31 |
| Creator Membership, monthly | $13.90 | n/a |
| Creator Membership, quarterly | $37.90 | n/a |
| Creator Membership, annual | $137.99 | n/a |
Two things stand out. The first is that the coin ladder is flat.
Most apps reward a bigger pack with a better rate, and here the spread across a 16x price range is half a percent. That makes the choice simple: buy the pack that covers what you want, with no pressure to buy big.
The second is that the membership ladder behaves normally. Annual at $137.99 against twelve monthly payments of $13.90 saves $28.81, or 17 percent, and quarterly saves 9 percent.
So the membership rewards commitment, while coins work best bought as you go.
Tuikor does not have a separate pricing page. The iOS changelog explains what coins are for, covered in the changelog section below.
Are there real Tuikor AI reviews and ratings anywhere?
Very few so far, which reflects how new the app is. The ones that exist are positive.
- The US App Store shows two ratings, averaging 5.0. There is one written review, from August 2025, reading in full: “i can chat withmy gf 24/7 now!”
- Regional App Store fronts report the app “has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.”
- Google Play lists 100+ downloads with no rating shown.
- The only review-shaped page ranking for the brand is an AI directory entry that describes Tuikor AI as offering a “public API.” That claim traces back to a line of boilerplate in the privacy policy, copied from a template written for a company that does sell an API. There is no API documentation anywhere on tuikor.com.
That is a common pattern with small AI tools: an aggregator summarizes boilerplate as a feature, and it becomes the top third-party result for the brand. Directory entries are a starting point, not a source.
Set the store numbers against the homepage banner of 1M+ AI personalities and 10M+ real-time conversations and you get the shape of this product: an ambitious vision at the start of its launch.
The age rating split: Apple says 18+, Google says teen
The same application carries two very different age gates.
| Apple App Store | Google Play | |
|---|---|---|
| Age rating | 18+ with In-App Controls and Age Assurance | Teen |
| Flags | Infrequent profanity, mature or suggestive themes, messaging and chat, user-generated content, social media (age restricted) | Suggestive themes, users interact |
| Last updated | Version 2.1.2, August 20 | August 18, 2026 |
Apple’s 18+ tier with age assurance is the strictest gate it applies short of removal. Google’s Teen rating opens the same app to 13 year olds. Shenma’s own safety policy then states that “communication features are restricted for users under 18 years old,” which describes Apple’s gate and contradicts Google’s.
Ratings are self-declared by the developer through each store’s questionnaire, so a split like this usually means the two questionnaires were answered differently rather than that either store audited the app. For a parent, the practical read is straightforward: treat the Apple rating as the accurate one.
What do Tuikor AI’s privacy policy and data handling actually say?
There are two live privacy policies, on two domains, and which one governs you depends on where you found the app.
The Google Play listing links its official policy to `tuikeai.com`, a separate Shenma property. That copy is dated April 19, 2025.
The copy served at tuikor.com is dated February 12, 2026. For an app whose signature feature is cloning your face, the difference between them is worth knowing.
The 2025 version carries a section headed “Special Notice on Facial Information and Digital Avatar Generation.” It commits to processing facial data only for avatar generation, never for advertising, never shared or transferred or disclosed to any third party, stored encrypted, with authorization withdrawable at any time. It is the strongest promise in either document.
That section does not appear in the 2026 revision at all. The current policy at tuikor.com replaces it with a disclosure about third-party AI providers, and says nothing specific about biometric data.
Meanwhile, the Google Play data safety card for the same app states that it may share personal info and photos and videos with third parties, and may collect personal info, messages and two further categories. Apple’s privacy label, filled in by the same developer, declares only “user content” not linked to your identity. The three official sources describe an uploaded face differently, which is why a stock photo is the cautious start.
The current policy is notably open about its AI vendor: OpenAI, servers in Singapore, receiving text input and dialogue summaries, with an explicit commitment that personal data is not used for model training. That is more disclosure than most companion apps offer, and it deserves credit.
Two smaller notes. The terms of service put governing law in Japan with exclusive jurisdiction in Tokyo courts, for a Cayman Islands registered developer whose Play Store support number is Malaysian.
Those terms also cross-reference a “Section 8 (Dispute Resolution)” that does not exist, since section 8 is Governing Law and Jurisdiction. Both suggest the terms were adapted from a template and are due a tidy-up.
What the changelog shows about Tuikor AI’s roadmap
The iOS version history is the clearest record of how Tuikor AI has grown. Read in order, it shows a companion app becoming a creator platform over about six months.
| Version | Date | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1.7.0 | Jul 1, 2025 | “Completely upgraded features to deliver an immersive companionship experience” |
| 1.7.1 | Jul 5, 2025 | “Unlock more multimodal content by increasing intimacy level” |
| 1.8.1 | Aug 27, 2025 | “User Agent Creation Module. Virtual Coin Center. Subscribe to Content Creators” |
| 1.8.2 | Sep 2, 2025 | “Add a gifting function. Add a function to unlock content with coins” |
| 1.8.4 | Sep 30, 2025 | “Add coin acquisition via invitation” |
| 2.0.0 | Nov 20, 2025 | “Add customized content submission functionality. Upgrade creator subscription benefits” |
| 2.0.2 | Jan 8, 2026 | “Add creator revenue display” |
| 2.1.2 | Aug 20, 2026 | “Fixed known bugs and improved the user experience” |
The July 2025 entry sets the model: intimacy is a level, the level opens content, and eight weeks later coins arrive as a direct way to open that content.
Gifting follows, then invite rewards, then a revenue counter for creators. It is a progression model familiar from mobile games, applied to companionship.
The pace is worth noting too. Seven feature releases landed between July 2025 and January 2026, followed by a bug-fix release in August 2026. The monthly membership is the flexible way to start while the next round of features arrives.
How to install Tuikor AI
The quickest route is straight to the app stores. The three download buttons on tuikor.com, for the App Store, Google Play and a direct APK, currently point at `https://www.tuikor.com/#` rather than the listings. Checked 2026-09-09.
The real listings are the App Store entry under Shenma Limited (CYM), requiring iOS 15.6 or later at 54.9 MB and iPhone only, and the Google Play entry under package `com.shenmaio.meta`. Skip third-party APK mirrors for an app that wants your face and your voice.
A good first session: a free account, a stock photo rather than your own face, and no purchases. That is enough to see whether the avatars and the conversation click for you, and it costs nothing but an evening.
Once you have characters you want to keep talking to, a small coin pack or a monthly membership is the easy next step. For more tools assessed the same way, the AI tool reviews archive and the best AI tools lists carry the rest of our testing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Tuikor AI free?
Yes. The app is free to download on both iOS and Android.
Spending is optional and runs through coin packs starting at $9.99 for 500 coins and a Creator Membership from $13.90 a month. There is no advertised free trial of the paid tiers, and no published free allowance of coins.
