AppSumo Alternatives I’ve Bought Lifetime Deals From

Six AppSumo alternatives I’ve bought lifetime deals from, this site included, with refund windows, AI share, and what happened to 47 deals after the sale.

AppSumo has the biggest lifetime-deal catalog and the longest refund window in the category, and neither protects you from a vendor that goes quiet after the sale. If a marketing-page deal has burned you, Dealify is where I’d look first: six of my seven purchases there delivered what the listing promised.

Since 2024 I’ve bought 47 lifetime deals across AppSumo and the six sites below, in AI writing, SEO, marketing automation, developer tools, and AI agents. EarlyBird gets new AI tools first, DealMirror is cheapest, StackSocial covers consumer software, SaasPirate is a curator rather than a store, and one of the six is zPlatform, this site, which tests every listing before publishing it.

Every site here is one I paid money on between 2024 and 2026 and was still operating in August 2026. Namecheap Deals, GetDeals, and BootstrapApps are active too, but I haven’t bought from them in the last 18 months, so I have no fresh data to rank them on.

Refund windows and price ranges checked 2026-08-25 on each marketplace’s own pricing and refund pages. The zPlatform row is this site rating itself, so weigh it accordingly. A good deal on a Wait-rated marketplace is still a good deal; you just do more of the vetting yourself.

zPlatform (this site): every deal tested before it lists

This is our own site, so read this section with that in mind. zPlatform buys, installs, and runs every listing in a real workflow before publishing a Buy, Wait, or Skip verdict, and around 500 tools have been through that since 2023. The catalog is deliberately smaller than AppSumo’s (~150 active deals), because catalog size and testing depth trade off directly. If your niche isn’t covered yet, you need a second source.

One receipt from 2025: two AI-writer LTDs that AppSumo listed with strong reviews failed our content-output testing and got Skip verdicts here. Both vendors quietly reduced features six months after their sale ended.

Dealify: the best hit rate I’ve had

Six of my seven Dealify purchases delivered exactly what the listing promised, and the seventh refunded smoothly inside two weeks. The refund window is 30 days, half of AppSumo’s 60, but the filter is tight enough that I’ve only needed it once.

It fits Shopify and WooCommerce operators, performance marketers, and CRO consultants. AI tools are roughly 30% of the catalog, so if you’re AI-first, treat it as a second source.

EarlyBird: new AI tools before the big marketplaces

EarlyBird launched in 2023 and now leans AI-heavy (~50% of the catalog), with entry deals at $49. The newness cuts both ways: you see tools before they reach the bigger marketplaces, but each deal has less comment-thread signal, vendor-stability data is thin, and refunds are vendor-set with no platform-level guarantee. It suits buyers who check several sites weekly and can judge a vendor without waiting for 50 buyer comments.

DealMirror: the lowest prices, if you vet each deal yourself

DealMirror deals sit in the $15-$99 range, with frequent flash pricing at the low end and strong India-market SaaS exposure. Quality control is uneven: some listings are re-licensed AppSumo deals with no fresh editorial layer, and refund policies run 7-30 days by vendor. It’s for budget-constrained founders and stack-builders who care more about total spend than per-deal vetting.

StackSocial: consumer software, not AI

StackSocial has the longest catalog of Microsoft licences, courses, lifetime VPN and cloud-storage subscriptions, and traditional consumer software, and for that it’s the best shop. For AI tools or modern SaaS it’s the wrong one: AI is roughly 10% of the catalog, listings age out fast, the refund window is 15 days on refundable items, and many digital products aren’t refundable at all.

SaasPirate: a curator, not a marketplace

SaasPirate points at deals on other marketplaces with commentary from a known SaaS-buyer voice, so refunds and support happen with the underlying vendor or marketplace. It works if you already have taste in this market and want a short weekly list of “should I buy” picks. Coverage follows the curator’s schedule, so it isn’t a systematic source.

Two sites do a similar job and didn’t make the list. Prime Club is a membership curator with a small monthly fee; if I’m paying for curation, I’d rather pay a person than a platform. Lifetimo aggregates deals from upstream sources with no editorial layer, testing, or verdicts: useful for looking up a product you already know, not for deciding what to buy.

The vendor-failure math AppSumo won’t put on the listing page

Roughly 10% of LTD vendors shut down within five years. Refund policies cover unhappy purchases, not bankrupt companies, and no marketplace covers you for the second. Marketplaces can fail too: PitchGround shut down in 2025.

From my 47 deals:

  • 33 deals (70%) delivered as expected and are still in active use.
  • 5 vendors went silent within 18 months (no support, no updates).
  • 3 vendors quietly reduced features or added usage caps after the sale ended.
  • 4 vendors shipped substantially less than the marketing page promised (all refunded).
  • 2 vendors shut down entirely, one with a graceful sunset, one without warning.

Failures skewed toward EarlyBird and DealMirror (earlier-stage vendors) and were rare on Dealify. AppSumo sat mid-pack, with the long refund window doing most of the damage control.

When AppSumo is still the better buy

  1. You want the biggest catalog. AppSumo lists over 1,000 deals across every category, and no one else is close.
  2. You value the refund window. Its 60 days is the longest in the category, against Dealify’s 30, StackSocial’s 15, and EarlyBird’s vendor-set terms.
  3. You’re buying a well-known LTD that has been on the platform for six months or more. That comment thread is real signal newer marketplaces can’t match yet.

For hands-on testing, the newest AI listings, lower entry prices, or a curated shortlist, one of the six above is the better click.
